HNB FINANCE recently concluded the annual Poson Poya day \u2018Sadaham Charika\u2019 programme held to invoke blessings on all stakeholders of the Company at the sacred Somawathi stupha premises in Polonnaruwa with the participation of the Company\u2019s Managing Director\/CEO, B.M.D.C Prabath, members of the senior management and staff. The annual Poson Poya day programme is an integral part of HNB FINANCE religious calendar and each year the Company holds the programme at a different place of worship in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
Financed by HNB FINANCE and its employees, this year\u2019s \u2018Sadaham Charika\u2019 programme included a series of ceremonies.<\/p>\n
Ven. Thalakolawewe Medhananda Thero conducted the principal ceremony held at the temple premises while the resident incumbent of Somawathi Temple, Ven. Dr Sri Sumangala Thero led the subsequent pooja ceremony to venerate the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. HNB FINANCE also conducted an alms giving ceremony to provide beverages to the Buddhist monks that were present at the occasion. In addition, the Company organized an illumination ceremony of 1200 lamps and offering of 5000 lotus flowers near the sacred \u2018Bodhi tree\u2019. At the same time, food and beverage were disseminated for about 1500 pilgrims by HNB FINANCE.<\/p>\n
